Taking care of people
Pillar 2 of our sustainability strategy
At Lassonde, caring for people takes many forms. It begins with our mission: to create quality food and beverage products. Each product is created with the needs of our customers, the satisfaction of our consumers, the health and safety of our employees and the well-being of our communities in mind.
We have high standards of food safety and quality management. By offering safe, quality products, we maintain the trust of consumers, customers and other key stakeholders.
We continued to make progress, with 96.9% of our ingredient suppliers now holding a GFSI-recognized certification, exceeding our target of 95%.
We improved our average rate of cases of minor non-compliance per plant during GFSI audits.

We recognize the importance of a healthy diet and its long-term effects on health. Higher nutritional values, natural ingredients, products with reduced salt and sugar, alternatives to artificial sweeteners and colorants: our product development and innovation teams pay particular attention to health and nutrition concerns.
Our approach: offer products that meet health and nutrition expectations, without compromising on taste or quality.
Protecting the health, safety and well-being of our employees in the workplace is essential. Providing a safe and healthy workplace is at the heart of our sustainability strategy, and we rely on the commitment, awareness and training of our employees.
The 2023 and 2024 data exclude data for our Boardman plant, acquired in August 2024.
“Last year’s results are a testament to the professionalism and leadership of our teams. Thanks to their daily diligence and vigilance, our accident rates have dropped significantly. This collective success gives us the momentum to stay the course and remain true to our commitment to building a safe, healthy, and sustainable workplace.”
We believe in fostering an inclusive culture that respects and values differences. We want to create a fair workplace that is representative of the talent within our communities. We recognize everyone’s right to work in an environment free from harassment and discrimination and want to create an environment where everyone feels valued.
89% of our office employees have completed unconscious bias training (excluding our Boardman plant acquired in 2024).
Ever since this company was founded, the well-being of everyone in the greater Lassonde community has been at the heart of everything we do. That includes our employees and their families, the people who live near our plants, and our consumers. Now more than ever, we believe it’s important to uphold that spirit of mutual aid and have a positive impact on the welfare of our wider community.
In Quebec we support various initiatives led by Moisson Montréal, a food bank serving community organizations on Montreal Island. This year, we were named a Cash and Food Donation Ambassador at the charity’s Recognition Evening. We earned that honor thanks to our inventory and shipping teams, who tirelessly organize product donations.
We renewed our participation in Food Banks Canada’s After the Bell program, which provides nutritious snacks to children over the summer, when school meal programs are unavailable. In 2025, 235 food banks across Canada benefited from this essential program.
For the fourth year in a row, our team in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, rallied to support Philabundance, a local organization dedicated to fighting hunger and providing essential resources to individuals and families in need. The team also continued its momentum with Adopt-A-Family, an initiative sponsored by Volunteers of America Delaware Valley through which employees supported families in need by granting their holiday wishes and providing essential goods.
Our team in Sparta, Michigan, has been heavily involved in the community for many years. This year the team participated in Sparta Events 2025, an initiative to boost economic and social vitality.
