Taking care of people

Pillar 2 of our sustainability strategy

At Lassonde, caring for people takes many forms. It begins with our mission: to create quality food and beverage products. Each product is created with the needs of our customers, the satisfaction of our consumers, the health and safety of our employees and the well-being of our communities in mind.

1. Offer safe, quality products

We have high standards of food safety and quality management. By offering safe, quality products, we maintain the trust of consumers, customers and other key stakeholders.

Our 2024 achievements

2. Promote health and nutrition

We recognize the importance of a healthy diet and its long-term effects on health. Higher nutritional values, natural ingredients, products with reduced salt and sugar, alternatives to artificial sweeteners and colorants: our product development and innovation teams pay particular attention to health and nutrition concerns.

Our approach: offer products that meet health and nutrition expectations, without compromising on taste or quality.

3. Build a culture of health, safety and well-being

Protecting the health, safety and well-being of our employees in the workplace is essential. Providing a safe and healthy workplace is at the heart of our sustainability strategy, and we rely on the commitment, awareness and training of our employees.

2023-2024 data

1 OSHA frequency rate = number of workplace injuries resulting in lost time, temporary reassignment or medical treatment x 200,000/number of hours worked.

2 Figure corrected retroactively to reflect changes in the classification
of some accidents (figure reported in the 2023 report: 4.7).

3 Lost-time accident frequency rate = number of workplace injuries resulting in lost time x 200,000/number of hours worked.

4 Figure corrected retroactively to reflect changes in the classification of some
accidents (figure reported in the 2023 report: 1.9).

“I’m very pleased with our team’s efforts to improve our accident frequency rates. This progress highlights our ongoing commitment to the health, safety and well-being of our employees. By adopting rigorous practices and investing in effective training, we have fostered a safer and healthier working environment for all.”
