The Fondation Tel-Jeunes Lobster Lunch: 30 Years and Counting!
A cocktail party was held on February 10 to kick off plans for the 30th annual Lobster Lunch benefit for the Fondation Tel-Jeunes. The event’s honorary committee and partners took the opportunity to remind everyone how important this now famous event is for the foundation.

The 30th annual edition of what is now Quebec’s largest benefit lunch will take place on June 19 at Place Bonaventure with more than 4000 guests. From its origins as a small-scale event that raised $13,000 with 454 guests, the Lobster Lunch has grown over the decades: in 2014, it raised $885,000 for Tel-Jeunes’ intervention services and parent helpline.
As a Tel-jeunes partner from the very beginning, Lassonde has contributed in a variety of ways to building visibility for the organization, for instance by printing the Tel-jeune helpline phone number on billions of Oasis juice containers over the years. President and Chief Operating Officer Jean Gattuso has renewed his support for Tel-jeunes year after year and continues to support the team’s outstanding work. On two occasions, in 2008 and 2009, he served as honorary president of the Lobster Lunch.
Since their inception, Tel-jeunes services and the Parent help line have come to the aid of nearly 1,645,000 young people and 425,000 parents, offering them personalized assistance when they needed it most. The services are provided confidentially and free of charge, day and night, by professional counsellors.
